The clock winds down for Paksas

The Seimas opened its impeachment proceeding against Lithuanian President Paksas today. Only one count of the three carried over from the Constitutional Court has to stick by a 60% margin.

Scott at Baltic Blog, out of Estonia, is keeping his finger on the pulse. Seems the first vote is set for tomorrow.

This evening is this morning in Vilnius. NYC + 7.
